The entrepreneur mindset is not about being an entrepreneur. It’s about possessing the critical thought process and the actions of complete ownership whatever you are involved in. It includes passion, a commitment for results and the willingness to do whatever it takes to reach those results.
I bet you that there are a lot of companies out there that offer what you have to offer. In other words; a similar product or service! This may surprise you but the fact is that it’s not what you do that determines your success or your market of leadership. It’s how you do it! Therefore; it all starts with mindset.
Very few of us have the unique opportunity to in today’s marketplace to differentiate by products and services alone. But here’s the good news! The things that are going to make you stand apart in your market are most often the intangibles. There’s only four ways you can differentiate yourself in the marketplace:
- Better
- Different
- Faster
- Cheaper
Study after study proves to us that top achievers don’t get there because they are chasing the almighty dollar. They get there because of their pursuit of their passion and they do it very well. Am I making sense to you? Let me ask you, ‘do you love what you do’? You should! Because you see the entrepreneurial minded individual has a unique capability to constantly tap into a higher picture, a higher vision and a higher purpose for what they are about.
What happens to most of us is we get caught up in the little tasks such as writing contracts, making phone calls or going to meetings and we forget why we do those things. Initially we get caught up in the forest verses the trees. I think you see where I’m going here. It’s the ‘why’ that drives your passion. Figure out your ‘why’ and without a doubt you will trigger the entrepreneur mindset.
